Hello! I’m Sarah, and I’ve been blogging off and on for 15+ years, ever since I founded Dodeline back in 2009. We are wedding stationers in Charleston, SC, specializing in custom save the dates, wedding invitations, and wedding day of paper for weddings all over the country.

Proof that timeless+traditional doesn't have to be boring.

On its own, the invitation is quite traditional with the exception of that lovely green color. Engraved calligraphy on ecru stock.

The details card & the RSVP card are similarly clean and classic, and even the map has a restrained elegance.

But the beautiful envelope liner featuring the gate at the reception venue, the unexpected sailboat shaped welcome party invite, the abstracted vellum belly band, and the pop of green for the reply envelope take this from plain ole traditional to an elevated, showstopping suite!

We get the inquiry all the time: how much are wedding invitations?

Unfortunately, it’s a completely impossible question to answer. The term “Wedding invitations” is extremely broad and doesn’t denote one specific thing that can be priced. Costs can vary by hundreds and thousands of dollars one to the next.

There are a few main things that will affect your total investment, and we’re here to help walk you through all of those nuances. It’s one of the things we pride ourselves on - transparency in our pricing and making sure during our design process that anything you change that affects cost is brought to your attention. Making the most beautiful product possible that keeps you comfortable with your investment is our goal!

It's always fun to look back and see how styles and trends have changed over the years. When we first started, it was all about rustic vibes - mason jars, burlap, kraft and weddings in barns.

There was a year or two where I think every wedding we did had a chevron somewhere. I remember being very excited about my blue and white chevron rug in our first office back in 2012 ;-)
