I love to craft and my daughter loves little tiny houses and worlds and all the magical things. I had this idea and had to make something of it. Can’t wait to hide it somewhere for her to discover!

Part Two of the #MochaMousse invitation design! I envisioned something rich and textured for this color palette, so I created this suite for an imaginary @biltmoreestate wedding. Using a creamy beige paper stock, subtle pattern, shine from copper details, and suede+wood for additional interest, this suite was a blast to dream up.

What’s your Christmas storage method?

After I pull out what I’m using this year (I try to change it up a little each year), I put my normal decor back in the Christmas storage boxes. Some picture frames / vases / etc. and then shuffle the boxes all back to the attic.

When it comes time to take everything down, I reorganize and re-label with the year.

A major throwback to that time we made our Charleston toile pattern into table runners and @lizzluckhartschleifer styled a gorgeous table with it and @hambycatering made amazing food and @laurenjonasweddings took beautiful photos of the whole thing 💛 Some great inspo for your Thanksgiving table!

When do you send wedding invitations? Ideally, 8

When do you send wedding invitations?

Ideally, 8 to 10 weeks before the wedding.
The old school etiquette books say 6-8 and, while that’s still ok, we find people prefer sooner these days.

Remember that no matter when you want to send them, invitation production lead time is usually 4 weeks or so (AFTER print approval).

Also, sending a save the date is really important. Spacing out the information/reminders is the way to go, so you don’t want to skip the save the date and just send invitations early. Why?

1️⃣ People are busy. Sending only one thing 6 months out is likely to get lost in a pile (and leave my brain)
2️⃣ life happens, and asking for firm commitments that far out is not ideal. People get new jobs / find out they’re expecting / move to new places / etc.
3️⃣ the invitation has to contain all the information (time, meal choices, etc) so pinning that down 7 months out can be difficult and also risky. People often tweak the time up to the last minute!
