Spring 2022 was a busy one at Dodeline! We made so many beautiful things, and now in the summertime we get to watch the gorgeous images roll in from a host of talented photographers. Let’s dive in to some of the events in which we were honored to take part!
Custom Wedding Crest Invitation Suite
We worked with this bride to create a beautiful and very custom watercolor wedding crest. We honed in on all the elements that were important to the couple, incorporating the Lowcountry into the design as well as their very vibrant color palette.
The invitation suite features the crest front and center, using dark green ink throughout and matting the invitation on a lovely shimmery gold stock for some extra weight. Pale green envelopes offset the ink color beautifully, and the rehearsal dinner / welcome party invitations are also included in the package so that guests receive everything they need to know all at once.
Wildflower Wedding Invitation
While we love working on Charleston weddings, it’s always fun to branch out a bit, so creating for this rural Georgia venue was lots of fun. Wildflowers were a big feature of the location, especially in April, so we created custom artwork for the liner to celebrate the natural beauty of the backdrop.
The invitations tie in the scenery further with the arbor that the couple planned to use and gold foil making the couple’s names really stand out. Everything went inside the beautiful shimmery green pocket and matching envelopes.
This suite was the second one we had the honor to create for this family, and it was such a pleasure to create!
Blue Custom Crest Wedding Invitations
This client came to us with a lovely all blue wedding crest she wanted to use, so we made sure to find many ways to weave it through the suite. From featuring it on the save the date alongside their photo to manipulating it to become table numbers, the lovely blue florals very effectively set the tone of the day.
Blue Letterpress Wedding Invitations
The shade of blue used on this letterpress invitation is certainly showstopping, but perhaps the coolest thing about this invitation suite is the watercolor wedding map printed on vellum and used as an overlay.
Tissue paper overlays are a traditional element that isn’t used as often these days, but we love referencing it in a subtle way with vellum overlays. This example is a really cool twist on tradition with the watercolor map!
Deckled Edge Menus
We’re still obsessing over the linen that Pure Luxe Bride used for this event. We were honored to create a deckled edge menu on lovely textured ivory stock for this wedding pro gathering back in January.
International Destination Wedding Invitations
Creating for a local Charleston couple getting married in Germany was a dream! The landscape is obviously so different than our beloved Lowcountry, and the historic structures have been there so much longer. We got to create a really fun illustration of the gates leading into the couple’s wedding venue – think old world stone castles!
We stuck with a navy and gold color scheme for a timeless feel, but doing it in the inverse for the envelope liner with another sketchy line art style drawing really puts it over the top.
Timeless Navy Wedding Invitation
You can never go wrong with navy and ecru. This classic suite uses a raised panel design with thermography printing and matching insert cards. Inner and outer envelopes are lined in a matching navy and finished with beautiful calligraphy.
Acrylic Wedding Invitations in a Box
Finally, we have to share these AMAZING invitations for a late spring event. The invitation is acrylic – clear with white ink (pictured with silver underneath it) and it was sent in a beautiful shimmery white box. The insert cards were placed inside the box as well which was lined in silver.
The box was wrapped in a gray/silver satin ribbon and finished with a silver foil monogram seal.
How do you mail these, you ask? Well, you need another box! The pretty box in the photo was wrapped in silver tissue paper to go inside a more shipping appropriate box. The shipping box is sealed up and a custom designed mailing label adhered to it. If you’re interested in sending boxed invitations, keep in mind that, while this is a TRULY showstopping invitation to receive, the postage to send boxes to each guest is around $6-7 each.
And that’s a wrap!
While we certainly haven’t shared all the spring invitations we made this past season, we hope it’s a good overview of the variety and scope of things we do. Now, our sights are set on Fall!
We’re fully booked for Fall 2022 at this time, so if you’re interested in working with us for Spring 2023, drop us a line.
