With 2023 just starting out, we couldn’t be more excited about the weddings that we at Dodeline Design will get to help with. Invitations for spring weddings, save the dates for fall and winter weddings, and stationery for the special day are all in progress already, and they look beautiful. But it’s also fun to take a look back at 2022 and highlight some of our favorite projects from the past year. Here are three stories along with testimonials that our clients were kind enough to write for us…once the dust had cleared and they had recovered from the big day!
Long-Distance Success
Being located close to some of the most popular destination wedding venues in the Southeast means that our expert designers at Dodeline Design often communicate digitally with our clients for most of the planning, design, and final approval process. That’s how it went with Kimberly B., who helped plan her daughter’s wedding in the Charleston area although they lived 350 miles away from us. Their destination wedding was unusually complex, with lots of special events for the guests, a separate rehearsal dinner invitation, and guests staying on site at the wedding venue.
Kimberly couldn’t help feeling overwhelmed at first, but we were able to come up with a plan together to get all of the information into the hands of the invited guests in a way that was both organized and beautiful–and as you can see, topped off with a lovely customized wax seal. They also had Dodeline Design create the wedding programs for the big day, which continued the stylistic themes of the invitations for a comprehensive, united suite of stationery. We appreciate Kimberly’s conclusion that “Dodeline Design is professional and PERFECT!!!”
Wedding Invitation Designed Down to the Napkins
One of the things that guests are always impressed with is a wedding stationery suite that is totally unified in font, colors, style, illustrations, and theme. Because our designers at Dodeline Design are experienced in all types of stationery and have a huge amount of creativity that they bring to every project, they can help couples with the creation of all sorts of signage, wedding favors, and other items that all fit perfectly within the wedding invitation design themes.
Brandi B. had us design nearly everything for her wedding, starting with the save the dates and invitations. Brandi appreciated the smoothness and speed of our process of getting proofs, making revisions, getting new proofs, and finally settling on a final design that checked every box. When the big day arrived, there were signs at the reception and even fully customized napkins on the table that carried the wedding themes through all the way to the end of the night! Full Color, Full Effect
Charlotte S. had a summer wedding filled with gorgeous pink and white flowers. For her custom wedding invitations, she selected one of our very favorite design elements: watercolor illustrations inspired by the destination. As you can see, there is a beautiful oak tree watercolor accompanying the couple’s event website, and we also did an envelope interior that shows off the entire invitation suite with a whimsical, artistic impression of the venue itself. These muted, soft watercolor illustrations also had the effect of making the gold print of the couple’s name and crest really pop off the stationery!
There’s nothing like a larger-than-life guest list to make your friends and family feel honored! These unique displays welcomed guests to the outdoor ceremony venue and helped to pull the design elements of the wedding together in a truly memorable way. Charlotte’s testimonial echoed a theme from the others we’ve mentioned–she called us “attentive and responsive” and concluded that working with Dodeline Design was “an amazing experience.”
